ABOUT

JOHN HENRY NEWMAN

"

There are those who cannot rest until they find the truth.”

John Henry Newman was one of them.

"

A respected Oxford professor and admired voice in the Anglican Church, he had prestige and security. But in the silence of prayer, he discovered that the fullness of truth lay elsewhere—in the Catholic Church.

In 1845, he left everything behind to follow God's call. Where many saw madness, he found freedom.

His conversion brought solitude and loss, but also a deeper faith.

Newman learned that conscience is God's voice within the heart, and that holiness is found in the ordinary.

Today, the Church recognizes him as a Doctor of Truth, a man who showed that seeking God is the boldest journey of all.
